Sourdough Surprises - August

Wow - how great were all of those pizzas?

What could be a better idea, after a month of delicious sourdough pizza pies, than, well, a delicious month of PIE?

That's right! This month we are using are starters to make flaky, delicious pie crusts.  How exciting is that?! We found this mouthwateringly delicious recipe to inspire us, but, as usual, feel free to use any recipe that inspires you.

So be creative - sweet or savory, dessert or dinner, one crust or two - the choice is yours. Maybe a pie taking advantage of all of the delicious in-season fruits, something with a decorative or lattice top. Or maybe a single crust savory pie - quiche, anyone? Or maybe use your pastry to make a delicious pot pie. Meal or snack, dinner or dessert, the options are limited only by your imagination.

So let's get baking!
